In late 1999, Heart of the Home Stencils opened a very small (less than 450 sq. ft.) retail store in a quaint log cabin in Chesterfield, Missouri. Shortly after opening we made our 1st appearance on the local tv show, Show Me St. Louis. That was the start of a frenzy that we call "let us show you the easy way to decorate with paint!" We offered a free hands-on stenciling demo to everyone who came to visit. The success was phenomenal. In 2002, we moved to a larger cabin at the same location. We spent three fabulous years in our new digs. Our customers are what made our store special, so it was a very difficult decision to close the shop at the end October, 2005. We moved the mail order business back home to a newly finished lower level. We hope this move will allow more creative time so that we may expand our popular stencil line. We look forward to serving you by mail for years to come! And remember, we'll always be as close as your phone.
