Stencil a Faux Tile Backsplash
It's easy to stencil a functional and decorative kitchen backsplash.
Our faux tile component stencils will fit just about
any size backsplash area. First, stencil the tile design, then embellish individual
tiles randomly with any number of fruit and veggies (shown) or try a
fleur de lis for an eclectic look. The final step is to protect the design and
the surface from kitchen stains. Let the stencil paint cure for a few days. Use a
sponge brush to apply three light coats of Minwax Polycrylic. Not only does this
seal the stenciled surface, it makes the area washable and durable. The best part,
if in a few years, you decide you want a new look, it's simple! Sand lightly, repaint
and you are ready to start again. . . . . .that's the beauty of paint and stencils!
